Dr. Makim received his medical education from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich. His Internship and Residency training were completed through the University of Michigan Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program. Dr. Makim is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.

Dr. Makim is a member of the Michigan State Medical Society and the American Medical Society. His areas of special interest are total joint replacement, and knee and shoulder reconstruction. Dr. Makim resides in Port Huron with his wife, Sonai, and their three children.
