A native of St. Clair, Michigan, Dr. Chad Amato is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in care for the hand and upper extremities. He is proficient in a wide range of advanced procedures, relieving pain and discomfort for injuries and conditions affecting the hand and upper extremities, including joint denervation.
After finishing his Bachelor of Arts degree in finance at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Dr. Amato completed his Doctor of Medicine degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. Following that, he went through his orthopedic surgery residency training at St. Luke’s University Hospital in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Dr. Amato committed to an additional year of training undergoing a hand and upper extremity surgery fellowship at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California.
When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Amato enjoys spending his time playing golf. He is also a tennis fan and an avid supporter of the Michigan State college football team.
